Hello, my name is Peter Mika. Since a certain time, I took the liberty of preparing and putting together a small publication about the life and work of Erich Übelacker, the Austrian car designer who, under the direction of H.Ledwink, was behind the design of the Tatra 77 Type in 1932. Despite the importance of this car in car history, there is about its designer very little information in motoring literature. However, it is known that Paul Jaray was asked to contribute with his sreamline ideas to the design of the car. So I was wondering if you could help me with gathering the information about their collaboration on this project. Anything that could shed some more light in to this themes would be much appreciated. The papers of Paul Jaray are with us, but unfortunately we only have dossiers dealing with the Tatra chassis type 57 and no documents in connection with Erich Übelacker.
Nevertheless, I wish you continued success with your research.

Dear Claudia Briellmann. I thank you very much for your swift answer. From my previous research I came to information that ing.Übelacker came in person to Lucerne to consult his ideas with Jaray in the beginning of 1932. The result of this meeting was a Jaray’s proposal for a mid size vehicle based on Tatra 57 (23.4. 1932) and plans for a larger vehicle (supposedly 8-cylinder). I would be very thankful even for that Tatra 57 cassis dosier as this could lead me further in my research about this unique collaboration. With my most sincere regards, Peter Mika
